Withered is an ongoing series that tells the story of life after death. Joshua Brightson was a father and husband, who on his death bed discovered a horrible reality. Time is not a construct of the human mind, nor is it a measurement. Time is a malevolent being that slowly feeds off our life essence over decades.
Joshua once thought he was going to pass into the warm embrace of God in heaven, just to discover he will be consumed by that which shall never be satiated. All is not lost, as Joshua is knighted by Archangel Michael to serve in God's army against the forces of hell, that serve the great beast. God has been imprisoned and the Devil leads the armies of evil to wipeout the angels, as they are the last hope for God and humanity.
