Our main characters are Seraphina and Draven, who are soulmates, meeting in this life as teenagers. They didn’t have much time together before they were separated under brutal circumstances.  After Sera’s brother became a demon, first killing their abusive parents before attacking her, Sera's life was changed forever. She got away but was critically wounded in the fight. Draven arrived to empty house looking for her, only to find a bloody scene and then promptly arrested for the murders.
